The first x-ray device was discovered accidentally by a German scientist by the name of Wilhem Conrad Roentgen(1845-1923) in late November of the year 1895. He found that a cathode-ray tube emitted visible rays that could penetrate through paper and wood. The rays created a screen of fluorescent light that started to glow. X-ray machines as we know today were not invented for several years afterwards.
